THE SOOTHE: A NEURODEVELOPMENTALLY SOUND CALMING TECHNIQUE FOR BABIES

In Dr. Kiti’s 30 years’ experience working with babies she has utilized this technique successfully to calm babies.  The SOOTHE is based on an understanding of the baby’s neurodevelopment (how the brain and the body work together).  Also, the reason it works so well is that the techniques that you do with the baby helps to ‘simulate’ what it was like for them ‘in utero’; making it feel familiar and comforting. You may be doing one or a couple of these things when you try to calm your baby.  However, while each element can be helpful in calming infants what makes THE SOOTHE unique is that when done all together in the manner described it becomes an extremely effective and very valuable tool for to calm your baby.
